Please make sure you provide accurate contact information before you submit your letter. Newspapers only print letters to the editor after they have verified the authors indeed did send them.
Also, be clear and concise, try to keep you letter to less than 200 words, and cover only one topic in you letter. You should also try to state your main point in the subject line and in the first sentence of the letter. Following these tips, and double-checking your spelling and punctuation, should dramatically increase the likelihood of your letter being printed.
Finally, make sure you select a newspaper that is near your home town.
